some tea sipping, blanket fort building, list making, barbie game playing, apple pie baking, and all of the usual frivolities and whimsical fancies that are to be expected at a slumber party.

i think it was possibly the most beautiful thing i've ever seen/been a part of.

thanks to my friend maddy...i've become terribly obsessed with the idea of building a blanket fort.

not only have i been saving pictures like crazy, but putting things together to MAKE one!!

we have the perfect location.

the perfect tools to build one.

and now all that remains...is to make it!!

(it's on our summer list)

today i got my SAT score! 1900...which is pretty awesome for my first try! i think i might try to do it again and improve my math score...but i'm very excited about the score that i got! yay!

i also got my eyes checked today. the worst part was when you sit in the chair, looking at a little laser, and they tell you that there are about to be some puffs of air that go into your EYES! AAH! it was terrible. you know it's coming...and then POOF! "next eye" POOF, again! oy. turns out i need reading glasses...so i got to pick out a pair...and i really am excited for them to come in next week:

5 winterish happy things.

my dears, i have been stuck inside for five days. why? well. it has a little something to do with white stuff falling from the sky. i'll let you know...i love snow...but i hate cabin fever. aaaand that's what i'm starting to experience. but, you see, texas is so unprepared for snow...that everything shuts down until the snow begins to melt. and for the first time in a very long time...its been 5 days and instead of melting...it snowed some more this morning. so as i'm stuck inside the house...i decided to share some snow-y pictures i've been oogling over for the past few months...as i was wishing for snow.

not only does the fire look heavenly...but i'd like all of those socks as well, please.

i don't know why anyone would be bicycling in galoshes with a bunch of yarn in their basket...but i kind of wish that was me.

those gloves, that scarf, the purple pants...all to die for! plus, of course, a snow ball is always such fun.

this girl looks really, really cold. but SUCH a fun picture!

the boots. the tights. the dress. the snow. everything is perfect.

to tell you the truth, i haven't gone outside once since it snowed. and i'm thinking i should get all bundled up, throw a snowball, and take some pictures today. what say you?

heylo! haven't been on lately...but i've been finding some pretty awesome stuff on tumblr and pintrest that i just HAD to share!! :) 

okay so you know i love stripes right? how about a black and white striped room?! next time i have the opportunity to paint a room...this is what it's going to look like!! :)

these are awesome hangers. yes they are. what a neat-o DIY project!! if i ever had my own store the clothes would definitely be on cool hangers like these.

i really want to learn how this was done. any ideas??

so apparently the whole "menswear" is totally in fashion this season. i think this girl is rockin' the look. LOVE :)

and i shall leave you with this yummy delicious dessert. cookies and creme cheesecake cupcakes. did anything every sound better than that? nope? that's what i thought.

today is a happy day. along with the fact that i'm going antique shopping (WOOHOO!!)...

i'm wearing a hat today. for the first time. (except for winter kinds of hats)

we shall see if i'm still wearing it when we leave... ;)

and here are my FIVE HAPPY THINGS for the week...

this is officially my new favorite pictures. i just could look at it for hours!

the outfits are to die for. and the hair.

even though it's nothing uber special...it's just...lovely.

i don't know about you...but long socks and tights are my new love.

i wear them everyday. sometime i even wear long socks over my tights.

crazy. i know.

how cool is this tutorial?! if i were a paint-ist...(?)...then i would have this hanging.

i really really like it. and all the brushes would have yellow paint on them.

along with other super bright colors.

okay, old clocks are just the quaintest thing. i mean really!

today i've got some really awesome things to share with my lovely buddies (that's you!)

who went to see VODT opening day?!?!

i did. that's right.

i'm not going into a big spill about how different it was from the book.

we all knew that was gonna happen.

i just sat back and enjoyed a really awesome movie.

 scarves and gloves are just...my favorite.

i know i sound like a broken record.

but seriously...they're the best.

i love winter.

if i wanted to have a little time to write and be alone...
