through the eyes of a lens.

I love photography.

I love capturing beautiful moments with one click.

Beautiful little children.

Events you remember forever.

Funny faces.

Wet kisses.

Chubby cheeks.

And friends.

Happy Sunday.

make believe.

Nina over at Wickfield has asked me to be a judge for an online event she's having!!! It's very similar to my "Little Women" and Amanda Beth's "Maid Marian" events... I just cannot WAIT until the event begins. I just love seeing people's creativity!

Anyways, she just made a post announcing the judges HERE. And you can read all about the event HERE. You absolutely MUST go and read all about the fun event! :)

this old house.

Yesterday a very good friend of mine took me around town and we did some picture taking...it was a very exciting day! There was alot of fence hoppin, mud trompin, and fallin through floors...but all-in-all...I had a very great time!

We found an incredible field of black-eyed-susans...it went on forever...and was INCREDIBLE. So we hopped a fence and got some pictures.

And then we hopped another fence and moseyed up to an old, broken down, BEAUTIFUL house!

And so we thought up some fun poses inside this amazing house!

And we couldn't very easily leave without taking a few pictures of the things *inside* the house...

And then, for good measure, I got some headshots of my beautiful, dear friend Michaella

It was a very good day.

reminiscing...

Fiddler on the Roof is over, and frankly I'm very, very sad that it is! When you are in a play and around the same people for a long time it's hard to end so abruptly! However, we've had several cast parties this last week and so I've seen my "Fiddler" family pretty regularly.

My friend (who played my Mama in the play) said, "The days grow longer as I come to see that my dear production, Fiddler on the Roof, has come to an end. After spending everyday with my cast, for long hours, going out to eat, making memories, laughing, becoming closer, I see who my true friends are. Now that I can only see them occasionly, is indeed the saddest thing in the world. Afterall, in the play I was married, had five daughters, in which three of them gave my son-in-laws. It was and is like we really are family." go here to see her whole blog post. She is absolutely right!

But enough of sadness...here are some more pictures from the play (courtesy of my dear friend Michaella Elliott)! And I promise, this is the last batch! :)

a fiddler on the roof...sounds crazy, no?

Yente & Golde

the matchmaker was here...

This picture makes me SMILE! You see Tevye just got though saying he has five daughters...and Perchik is like "FIVE?!" and Tevye says "...DAUGHTERS" after which Perchik says, "Girl's should learn too...girl's are people" and Tevye's response, "A RADICAL!" Haha...best dialogue EVER! :)

Perchik - "There, we've just changed an old custom." Hodel (me) - "Yes...well...thank you...I mean, you're welcome...I mean...GOOD DAY!"

Love this picture!

at the train station...

"Who could see that a man would come, who could change the shape of my dreams...helpless now I stand with him...watching older dreams grow dim..."

Golde - "But Chava?!" Tevye - "Chava is dead to us now."

"TRADITION!!!!"

For more pictures check out the JOY DRAMA BLOG! Also go here to see individual cast members in costume and make-up...they're pretty spectacular pics also taken by the dear Michaella Elliott.

Summer Aspirations...

Sometimes I like to make goals. This doesn't mean I ever actually accomplish them...BUT I really, really want to finish some things this summer. And I believe summer to be an EXCELLENT time do finish projects, etc. So...

I've decided to create a list of things I would like to achieve this summer before school starts up in September. And YOU are my accountability buddies, making sure I do what I set out to do... So I'll be sharing whenever I finish what's on my list with all of you (and maybe get some encouragement from y'all too?!)...

GOALS

1) Finish sewing my curtains

(I know, I know...I've had the fabric for almost a year now...SURELY I can get this done SOON!)

2) Get my driver's license before the end of June

(very unlikely, but I'm setting my goals high!)

3) Study so much for the PSAT that I score a 205 on my practice tests

(again...very nearly impossible...but how awesome would that be?!)

4) Get ready for my Drama jr. class I'm teaching in the fall with my mom

(lesson plans, blocking for "Velveteen Rabbit," etc.)

5) Make {X} amount of items to sell on my Etsy Shop

(I have so many ideas for projects, I just haven't had the time to actually make any)

Stay tuned for some more goals. In the meantime, I have quite a bit of things to do! :) Do YOU have any summer goals??
