"Animals are such agreeable friends - they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms." ~George Eliot

My little sister and our pets go hand in hand. She is always playing with one of them. It is so cute to hear her call Dottie (our dog) and watch her run up, excited, full of energy, and ready to play with Michelle. All of our pets love little Michelle and she loves them, and takes care of them. I'm thankful that I can watch the beautiful bond that develops between Michelle and the family pets.

Oh my, how thankful I am for little sisters!!! Sure, sometimes they're down right hard to deal with, but let's face it...where would you be without them??? Their witty stories and comments...their smiles...their hugs...small yet irreplaceable things that make up your daily life.

14 Days of Thankfulness: Day Two

Friends...

"Friends are the sunshine of life." ~ John Hay

What would you do without friends? I mean, really! Who would you share your dreams, hopes, aspirations, and secrets with? Who would you go to if you were having a dilemma and needed advice? Who would truthfully tell you "that scarf does not go with that shirt"? I have very dear friends in my life...we joke, and laugh, and have such fun times!

This weekend I got to spend some time with friends and I continue to appreciate them every time I'm around them.

14 Days of Thankfulness: Day One

Music....
When words leave off, music begins. ~Heinrich Heine
I cannot imagine life without music. So today, I am thankful for music! What would we do without the beautiful sound of a harp, the sweet scratching of a violin, or the peaceful strumming of a guitar, the memorable tone of a grand piano?

I could have danced all night...

My Halloween involved no candy and no scary pumpkins...but an old fashioned band, a large dance floor, and a white ball dress! Yes. I am speaking of the amazing Bonnie Blue Ball.

While most people were going up to doors asking for sweets, I was dancing the night away in the 1860's style...a waltz here, a virginia reel there...and having a jolly good time doing so! A mixture, of period music, happy friends, and lady's wearing hoop skirts always proves to be an enjoyable evening!

Please feel free to drool over some pictures of the exciting evening!
