Opening Night!!

Wow! We started  Snow White less than two weeks ago, and tonight is opening night! It is so crazy how it has all just worked out SO great in SO little time! My nerves are starting to begin a little bit, but more than anything...I'm just REALLY excited! And the best thing is, all three performances are a full house, and they had to add another one! 

I'm really happy performances are starting today, but I'm also REALLY sad...because that means it will all be over soon, and I'm not ready for it to be over! I feel like it just started (mainly because it really did just start only a few days ago) and that it shouldn't be nearing the end yet.

Well, regardless...tonight is opening night, and I couldn't be anymore excited than I am right now! :)

Snow White Rehearsals - Week One

Hahahaha, wow! Rehearsals for Snow White are SO crazy! We only have 8 days to pull this show together and it has already been 4 days! Aaaaaaa! I think it'll turn out great in the end, but it still seems a little crazy! :)

Playing dead is alot harder than you might think! When I'm supposed to be dead it seems like an age for the dwarfs to decide what happened and how I died. Once they realize the apple was what done me in...they have to pick me up off the ground and place me on a bench where I lay until the Prince comes. The hardest thing isn't the staying still part...but keeping a straight face! Oh my goodness!! But I'm working on it, and hopefully when it comes to an actual performance, I'll be so caught up in the moment, I won't even have to worry about any of that. :)

Anyways, we add costumes Monday and props on Tuesday. We also have to have all of our lines memorized by Tuesday as well! This is such an exciting experience and I cannot wait to see how it all turns out!!

SNOW WHITE!!!!!

I am involved in a theatre camp for the next two weeks and we are performing Snow White! Auditions were yesterday and the cast list was supposed to be posted no later than 1 a.m. this morning. Well,  I woke up at 1:35 a.m. to check my email for the Snow White cast list and low and behold I was cast as Snow White!!!!!

Because there were so many people in the camp, and because there is only 2 weeks to memorize lines, Mrs. Anicia, the director, decided to split Snow White into two parts and the Evil Queen into two parts. So I am playing Snow White in Act Two (my friend Hannah is playing Snow White in Act One), which is super exciting because I get to eat from the apple and die, and then be woken by the prince! I really can't wait! :)

My Garden!

A few weeks ago I planted my first very small garden... tomatoes, lettuce, onions, lavender, rosemary, strawberries, and such. I also uncovered a snake! AAHH!
