I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...
However, it wasn't just a dream...it actually came true!
The first white Christmas in over 80 years occurred in my town!!!
What a special Christmas present that was!
Christmas eve we watched "White Christmas" (it seemed fitting) and, with the white snow flakes falling from the sky, we went to sleep.
By the next morning we had several inches of snow outside!
The next day we went outside to enjoy the beautiful SNOW!
Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas Present #4
A Pearl & Doily Necklace
I do believe Disney is a genius! Who would have thought of putting a doily on a pearl necklace and adding a ribbon?! I really do love her blog: www.rufflesandstuff.com/ I made this necklace for my sister Heather. And she really loved it! It's so exciting to see people's faces when they open up a completely handmade gift and find out that you were the one who made it! :)

A Book Clock
Another one of Disney's (at www.rufflesandstuff.com/) great inventions! I found some really pretty classic books at an antique store the other day and knew exactly what I wanted to do with them! I made one for my brother Seth and one for my very good friend Morgan! I'm also planning on making one for someone else but I won't mention any name so the person in question won't know... :)
Here is the tutorial: http://www.rufflesandstuff.com/2009/11/time-for-good-book
I forgot to take pictures of Seth's book (which had numbers & bigger hands) but I got some of Morgan's book:

Felt Tie Shirts - For the casual gentleman
A few weeks ago I was browsing the internet when I came across a blog/website called Ruffles and Stuff. I absolutely fell in love with it! The whole site is done by a lady who is very crafty and creative. Anyways, pretty much all of my gifts I gave, were based on different tutorials she's posted on her site. So much credit goes to her!!!! http://www.rufflesandstuff.com/
Anyways, I made three different shirts using this tutorial: http://www.rufflesandstuff.com/2009/11/for-casual-gentleman Two for Graham and one for Zander. I only took pictures of Graham's onesie shirts though.
I really love the way they turned out!!! Thank you so much Disney for the fantastic idea! :)
I really recommend trying this out because it's super easy to do! However, if you really love the idea but aren't the "crafty type" please visit my etsy shop where I am selling these! http://www.etsy.com/shop/sewinginthepast

A Family Christmas
Sunday we had Christmas with my older sibs. I have an older brother who is married and has a little 2 week old boy (Graham), and two older sisters. One is married and has a 2 year old boy and a little girl due next month. And the other just graduated college yesterday.
Anyways, this year I decided to construct & hand-make presents. Even though I had absolutely no time to do so, I managed to make quite a few very cute things...if I may say so myself. So I thought I'd share with you my projects on separate posts and give my inspiration, etc.
Regardless, here are some photos from Sunday evening:
