Project Runway is a reality t.v. show of sorts...the show begins with many designers and each week, after completing a challenge, a designer is eliminated. However, the challenges are...well...challenging! AND they only have a day to finish them. AND they're given only about half an hour to find fabric!!! Can you imagine the stress?
Anyways, I'm going to be posting every week some of my "likes" and "dislikes" from the show...I'm about a week behind, so I'll probably post two this week.
Episode One: "Designers must create a look that embodies who you are as a designer." This beginning challenge was a relatively easy challenge. However, they had 3 minutes to grab as much fabric as they could get, and then a few more minutes to sort through the ones they grabbed. HECTIC!
This was the design that won. I think that it was a good choice. The stripes on the bodice were strategically cut out and placed in a flattering way on the bodice. And the skirt is very flow-y and cute!
I, however, didn't agree with who lost. The design was a bit messy, but I didn't think she deserved to go out just because of that.
My least favorite was this one. It almost looked as though she had gotten different fabrics and just draped the across the girl, sewed them in place, and sent her out to the runway. However, she was in the top three (?!)...hmmm.
My favorite designer is this really cute girl named Anna, and I really hope she wins!
This was her design, and definitely my favorite one!

ooo i cant wait to start watching the season! i love project runway! i liked the one who lost. i thought it really brought out who the girl was, but i agree, the orange one looked too "draped".
I LOVE Project Runway! I love seeing what they can do with such random items, like the potato sacks!
I think they'll keep Ping for awhile, just because she amuses them. For the second week in a row, she should have gone home, I thought.
Oh I love this show! I started on the second episode this season so I didn't catch this one. It's a really fun show and I am excited to see what you have to say too. =)
I love this show! I like the girl named Anna too. I agree with Robin's Egg Bleu I think that taey will keep Ping for awhile.
