The Fiddler on the Roof...sounds crazy, no?

If my title didn't give you a hint...Fiddler on the Roof is the next production my homeschool group is putting on! We've had auditions already and rehearsals start Thursday!

I got the part of Hodel which is very exciting! If you aren't familiar with the story of Fiddler, you should be! It is and AMAZING musical...and Roberts family classic! :) I absolutely cannot wait to get started blocking, choreographing, acting, and sewing costumes!!!

How fun!
So is the acting group you're in a homeschool group? I would so love to find something like that. I've always loved to act, but I'd rather not be part of a secular theatre, you know?

Yes it is with a homeschool group! I've done productions with secular theatre groups and it just doesn't compare! It's so hard to find theatre groups with good ethics!

just curious how a secular theatre group is different? Several years ago, when I was a teenager, I was in a play group with Lou Stallman, who had a mission to try to get parents to understand their kids...it was a musical..pretty awesome group of kids. It was through the YMHA (or YWHA can't remember... H stands for Hebrew) in New York City.

That & JOY drama have been my only experiences with theatre groups... so I'm curious about what the secular groups are like.
