"All about babies" Challenge

At "I Heart Faces" the challenge this week is babies.

So here is a picture of my little niece Piper's hand in her grandfather's. I think it's very sweet.

A skirt.

A while back I wrote about a skirt that inspires me (black and white checked). I bought the fabric FOREVER ago and have been wanting to make a similar version, only shorter. So the other day, upon the discovery that I had NOTHING to wear, I decided to make it.

yes. this is Gollum. my arch enemy. the one I have nightmares about. thank goodness he was only made of wax!

frodo. looking a bit like merry. but still cute as can be. and JUST my size too. HEY! I'm not short. I'm just a hobbit! (minus the hairy feet)

now I've never actually seen "Shakespeare in Love" but I liked the idea of me sitting in a throne, next to a medieval-y dressed Gwyneth Paltrow.

Home again, home again, jiggety jig...

After an entire week of vacation-ing with the fam...we have returned! We got to do some pretty awesome stuff while we were away, such as...

Visiting a Hollywood Wax Museum:

Going to a Titanic Museum:

(this picture was not actually taken at the museum "no cameras allowed"...but you get the idea.)

Seeing a whole bunch of cool shows:

And a quick trip to this adorable old town:

(even the old undertakers sign was adorable...ish. okay it was a bit disturbing.)

(no. we didn't actually ride the trolley. BUT if we had...I would have been singing a certain song..."clang, clang, clang went the trolley...")

Etc. and so on...it was a jolly good time. But. I am VERY glad to be home. Now that the vacation is over, summer has officially begun.

HUZZAH!

I Heart Faces - "Play"

 This week on "I Heart Faces" the category is "Play". So I decided to enter a photo that I took at a Civil War reenactment of two little kids playing in the dirt... *fingers crossed* :)

Hmmm...*sewing* in the past is starting to turn into *photographing* the past lately. SORRY! But I *do* have some more pictures to share.

My dear, darling friends the Hoovers just returned from a vacation and I missed them SO! But we got to have some lunch with them today at an adorable little cafe and catch up.

Afterwards, we went downtown to the square and shot some pictures.

In case you're wondering why I've been doing so much photography lately...I GOT A NEW EDITING SYSTEM!!! It is *so* incredible...I'm just going crazy with it! :)

Well I saw EVERYONE getting a formspring and for the longest time I wasn't really going to get one...but I GAVE IN.
